For last minute costume shopping and for those who would rather be dolled-up for Halloween parties than witch-ified, Decades of Fashion could be heaven sent. The clothes are arranged by the decade - 20's, 30's, 40's clothing etc. (thus the name of the shop!) so it is really easy to put together an outfit. The store is filled to the brim so, one will definitely not run out of choices! PS They also carry period outfits for men.
When I need some cheering up, I simply browse through my floral photos and come out of this drill with a smile on my face!
'Had this one-dish meal today and looved it!
1/4 kilo sirloin, sukiyaki cut
1 pack egg noodles (pancit canton noodles will do, good for 4 people))
1/4 kilo monggo bean sprouts
around 10 pieces green beans, sliced into 1.5 inches length
1/2 of a medium onion, sliced
4 tablespoons canola oil
1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons fish sauce
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 teaspoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1. Shred a bit more the sirloin strips. Make the marinade liquid. Marinade the sirloin strips for about 15 to 20 minutes.
2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Stir fry the sirloin strips. Set aside.
3. In another pan, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil. Saute the onion. Add the green beans and monggo sprouts. Cook for about 2 minutes. Add the noodles. Add 1/4 cup water or less (depending on how much noodles you are using). Add the soy sauce, fish sauce and black pepper (to taste). Let the noodles cook until soft.
Eat right away!!!
